Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need to be based in the East of England?
No – our members come from all over the UK, and across the globe! With members as far as New Zealand, we’re able to help anyone looking to discover innovations in agriculture, or make links into UK businesses for collaboration, customers, or knowledge exchange. Our network goes much further than the East of England and we’re not restricted by geography.
We’re not currently working in agriculture but we would like to explore market opportunities – can you help?
Definitely! We can work with organisations with years of agriculture experience and those brand new to the market. Our events are designed to be accessible by both seasoned experts and those new to agriculture. We often hear that new technologies developed outside of the industry greatly benefit from industry input, so we offer members opportunities to access the knowledgebase and learn from experts in their field.
I’m looking to access grant funding, can you help?
While we don’t award grants ourselves, we work closely with organisations who do! We are always happy to help signpost our members to the grant or funding stream that might be right for your needs, as well as organisation who can help you complete the application.
We’re only a small team and can’t make it to all of the events – will membership still benefit us?
Event attendance isn’t the only benefit of becoming a member but if you miss an event you’d have liked to hear about, we write a thorough report of each event which is made available to members – so you can still make contact with the speakers and find out what was discussed.
Are you funded by the Government?
No, we are a not-for-profit organisation and most of our income comes from membership revenues, as well as hosting events and sponsorship. We receive no core funding from the public sector. Similarly, we are an independent organisation and are not formally allied to any other agri-tech or public sector organisations, even if their names might appear similar to ours!
