About

At Bayer Crop Science in the UK, the future of British farming is at the heart of everything they do. Bayer invest over 20% of their entire global research and development budget towards European projects, to produce the next innovative solutions to their customers’ problems. Whether it is a digital technology to support on-farm decision-making, new herbicides, fungicides or insecticides to control pests, weeds and diseases, or the very best varieties of oilseed rape, farmers continue to be reliant on the new innovations that Bayer brings to the market.

Bayer works to ensure these new technologies balance the demands of productivity with environmental sustainability. They also support the education and training of farmers, future farmers and the wider farming industry through initiatives such as the Youth Ag-Summit, their Knowledge Academies and partnerships including the Chatham Green Project and with the educational charity Farming and Countryside Education (FACE).

Bayer backs UK science, working with over twenty UK universities, research institutes and SMEs and sponsoring numerous PhDs in the process. Their vision of Science for a Better Life is as committed to innovation as it has always been.
