Innovate UK

Innovate UK seeks innovative Agri-Tech companies to participate in the Global Incubator Programme for market visits to Canada in April and July 2026.

Note: This opportunity is fully funded support and not monetary funding.

Innovate UK’s Global Incubator Programme is an acceleration programme for innovative businesses to work with worldleading incubators abroad.

We are currently accepting applications for up to five innovative companies in the Agri-Tech sector to join the programme with Agtech Accelerator and Cultivator Business Incubator in Saskatchewan, Canada.

In partnership with Cultivator

With a proven track record of scaling pre-seed to seed stage Agtech companies, this three-month programme connects startups with producers, investors, founders, and industry leaders to drive growth and innovation across Canada, the UK, and beyond. Founders come to Saskatchewan for two intensive in-person weeks, with virtual programming and mentorship provided between the in-person weeks. Built on a foundation of founders, funders, and farmers, we believe this is the recipe for success. To date, we have supported 62 startups, who have collectively generated over $118M in revenue, and raised over $161M in Private Capital.

Benefits of the Programme

Successful applicants will benefit from an intensive 9 to 12 months three phased programme and bespoke support from an innovation & growth specialist throughout.

  • Getting ready for the market: Preparation workshops to build knowledge and understanding of the market and opportunities, consideration of cultural differences and how to do business in Canada, protecting Intellectual Property and training on articulating your value proposition and how to pitch.
  • Visiting the market: Exclusive access to the Canadian market and the opportunity to meet with key contacts, research organisations and companies. Meet potential collaborators and partners through pre-arranged meetings and matchmaking events.
  • Exploiting the opportunity: A follow-up workshop and bespoke support from an Innovate UK innovation & growth specialist to exploit contacts and knowledge gained during the visit and develop cross border innovation projects.

What is the cost?

Innovate UK will fund and organise flights, accommodation, in-market travel, and conference fees for successful applicants, who will also benefit from an intensive 9 to 12 months three phased programme and bespoke support from an innovation & growth specialist throughout, to help maximise the potential of being part of the programme and beyond.

Only one representative from each company will be funded. On acceptance to the initiative a commitment fee of £2000 will be obtained from each delegate, which will be refunded on completion of the full activities and agreed action plan.
