Genetics, Farm Profitability and CropTec '26

Agri-TechE's November Newsletter

This month feels like a turning point. With the passing of DNA co-discoverer James Watson, and the UK’s Precision Breeding Act now 'live', are we entering a new chapter?

Alongside this, REAP 2025 and the All‑Party Parliamentary Group on Science and Technology in Agriculture’s 30:50:50 Summit showcased the energy, positivity, and ambition of our community - from soil diagnostics and robotics to policy/R&D visions reframing agriculture. The times are a changing, and technology, collaboration, and natural capital are at the heart of that change.

We're also feeling inspired by the next generation: from speaking at a Federation of Young Farmers AGM to welcoming new voices into our Early Career Innovators’ Forum (ECIF), the enthusiasm of early‑career professionals continues to energise us.

In this issue, explore our reflections on genetic tools, catch up on CropTec plans, and discover opportunities from Canada to Korea. Read on!
