From animal performance tracking and custom reports to treatment reminders and improved compliance tools, farmdrive’s latest update brings a host of new features designed to make everyday farm management simpler, smarter and more efficient.

A couple of months on from its release, farmdrive’s biggest update to date is already bringing a wide range of new tools and improvements to the app.

Developed throughout the year, the update was shaped entirely by feedback from farmers and a focus on what they need from a practical, everyday farm management tool. The aim of thisbupdate was to make farmdrive more useful on the ground, helping farmers manage their livestock, monitor performance, keep records up to date and make better-informed decisions.

So, what has changed, and how can these additions help farmers get more from farmdrive?

Better insights into animal performance

One of the biggest additions is a stronger focus on animal performance tracking. New batch details and performance pages give farmers a clearer overview of animal history and progress, while the weight statistics page provides insights into key measures such as daily liveweight gain (DLWG).

Connecting with other farm technology

The update also makes it easier to connect farmdrive with third-party services and equipment. A new connected apps page provides a central place to manage integrations, while support for importing weighing sessions from Gallagher and Tru-Test helps bring data from compatible devices into the app.

These integrations help farmers make better use of the technology they already rely on, while keeping more of their farm information connected.

Custom reports, made easier

farmdrive’s new reports section gives users the ability to create custom reports around the information that matters most to their farm. Reports can also be scheduled automatically, reducing the need to repeatedly generate them manually.

With the addition of an in-app CSV and PDF viewer, users can access reports directly within farmdrive, making it quicker to review information and put farm data to use.

Keeping treatments on track

The new medicine courses feature allows farmers to set reminders for when animals need their next course of treatment. This helps keep treatment schedules organised and makes it easier to stay on top of animal health requirements.

The update also streamlines treatment recording, with additional options available through Crush Mode to help farmers manage tasks more efficiently when working with animals.

More tools for everyday farm management

Beyond these headline additions, the update includes a range of other features designed to support daily farm operations. These include improved compliance status tracking, movement history updates in Northern Ireland, a calving history page, financial summaries, spray stock tracking, temporary animal lists, animal labels and activity logs for farm administrators.

Together, these additions represent a significant step forward for farmdrive, with one clear focus: developing practical tools around farmers’ feedback and helping them manage their farms with greater confidence.
