Team Support Administrator

Agri-TechE

About the Job

We’re looking for a highly organised, energetic and proactive Team Support Administrator to join the Agri-TechE team. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll provide practical support across our busy programme of events, communications, membership and wider team activities.

You’ll be someone who is naturally organised and detail-focused, enjoys supporting others, and genuinely likes working with people. As an important part of a small team, you’ll help create a positive, collaborative environment, building strong relationships with colleagues and members while coordinating multiple tasks and requests from across the organisation.

No two days will be the same. One day you might be welcoming delegates at an event, the next setting up a Teams webinar, updating the website or planning our team Christmas social!

The Role

You’ll report to the Operations Manager and work closely with our Events and Content Managers, while providing practical support across the wider team to help the day-to-day business run smoothly.

Events – 35%

  • Assist the Events Manager with event registrations, communications and logistics, including post-event administration, feedback and follow-up.
  • Liaise with delegates, speakers, sponsors and venues to ensure smooth logistics.
  • Provide practical support on event days, including welcoming delegates, helping with refreshments and backend support for our online events.

Communications – 35%

  • Provide administrative support to the Content Manager with newsletters, email mailings and social media content.
  • Update the Agri-TechE website with news, jobs, events and member content.
  • Record and track communications and media activity and engagement via our CRM
  • Assist with creating and formatting basic communications materials.

Membership – 15%

  • Assist the Membership Manager with member onboarding and renewal data entry
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records within CiviCRM.
  • Respond to basic enquiries and provide a friendly, helpful first point of contact.
  • Support member engagement activities and communications.

Operations – 15%

  • Help foster a positive and supportive team culture, contributing ideas and activities that bring colleagues together and support team wellbeing.
  • Book meetings rooms, and help organise team social events
  • Provide practical support across the organisation and take on other tasks where needed.

About You

  • Collaborative and people-focused, with a genuine enjoyment of helping others, building positive relationships and contributing to a supportive team environment.
  • Highly organised and reliable, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Friendly, approachable and interested in people, with the ability to build positive relationships across the organisation and wider network.
  • An excellent listener with good emotional awareness and the ability to communicate tactfully and diplomatically.
  • A clear and effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and requests from different colleagues while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and organisation.
  • Confident using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook and comfortable learning new digital platforms, databases and CRM systems.
  • Enjoys bringing people together, whether welcoming new members, organising meetings, or helping colleagues feel included and at ease. Practical, proactive and willing to get stuck in wherever support is needed.

About Us

As a small team with a busy programme of activity, it’s important that we work well together. We’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, supporting colleagues and helping create a positive, collaborative atmosphere alongside delivering excellent administrative support.

Agri-TechE is the UK’s largest and longest-established agri-tech membership organisation. We have built a world-leading network of innovative farmers, producers, scientists, technologists and entrepreneurs who all share a vision of increasing the productivity, profitability and sustainability of agriculture.

You don’t need to know agriculture or agri-tech already. We’re looking for attitude, organisation, curiosity and a willingness to learn. If you enjoy variety, working with people and being part of a team, we’d love to hear from you.

Our offer

  • A permanent, full-time role offering a varied range of experience across events, communications, membership and operations, with plenty of opportunities to learn.
  • Flexible hybrid working, Cambridge/Home
  • 33 days’ holiday (inc. bank holidays)
  • Company pension scheme with matched contributions up to 4%
  • A small-team environment
  • Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 p.a.
  • Initial informal interviews: Week commencing 14th December 2026

How to Apply:

Please send a CV and a covering letter, explaining why you feel you are well suited for the role to info @agri-tech-e.co.uk.

Please note: Previous applicants need not apply and we may close this position early if required.
