About the Job

Lead the company’s technical function, ensuring robust standards in food safety, product quality, and customer compliance. The role oversees the HACCP programme, supports continuous improvement across all sites and crops (potatoes and beetroot), and works collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation. This a new position with an expectation to work at a self-managed pace, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

About You

Experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the fresh produce sector.
• Strong agronomy experience and qualifications.
• Proven experience working with UK retailers and processors.

Skills & Attributes
• Strong technical knowledge of fresh produce, food safety, and compliance standards.
• Confident communicator with the ability to challenge constructively and make evidence based decisions.
• Skilled at building relationships across departments and with external partners.
• Able to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Curious, proactive, and driven to continuously improve technical performance.
