Faba beans provide an excellent alternative to imported soya and thrive under UK growing conditions but the majority of the beans produced go to animal feed. Defra is to modernise its data sharing services platform, and expand the usability of its data across the government and the public data marketplace, after signing an agreement with Agrimetrics and Telespazio UK. The new data service will provide the next generation data marketplace which will help improve the wider reusability of Defra’s rich data for public use.
