Farm Demo Day – AI and Data
We’re taking technology out to the farm this Christmas.
Join us at Salle Farm as we take a walk round the farm with Farm and Estate Manager Andrew Peal. This event will be focusing on solutions for AI and data management. Solutions discussed might include data processing, software solutions, employee and contractor management, applications of AI or digital automation.
We'll kick off with lunch before heading out on the farm walk. We'll then hear from a selection of technologists either through demonstrations or pitches, focused around innovations in this area. We’ll round out the day with some networking and time in the exhibition.
You can expect to meet other farmers interested in technologies to support data interrogation and steamlined software alongside technologists with both commercially available solutions and opportunities to partner on tests or trials of new products. We might even see some Christmas trees!
Technology Exhibition:
If you'd like to exhibit or demonstrate your technology, please apply to do so here before booking a ticket. A sponsorship opportunity is also available. For more information, please contact Agri-TechE team.
About Salle Farm:
Salle Farms Co is a 2,000 hectare Norfolk estate that crops winter and spring cereals, sugar beet, spring beans and oilseed rape on a seven year rotation. Salle Farms Co includes the neighbouring Heydon Estate as well as three other local farms. It has been owned by Sir John White and his family for the last 100 years.
The Estate has been actively involved in crop research and development for many years. They are currently hosting the Wensum DTC project for catchment sensitive farming, exploring mitigating measures and their effect on water quality and economic performance. The Estate works with other partners including Morley Research Centre, UEA, NIAB TAG, BBRO and the Broadland Catchment Partnership, adopting precision farming technology to improve farming practices and achieve above average yields.
Diversification projects include growing and retailing Christmas trees and cold pressing oilseed rape for the production of high quality cooking oils, salad dressings and granola.
