Protecting your secret sauce? Build your IP tool-box for Agri-Tech!
Critical proprietary assets underpin your business success. If patenting isn't the right route, what other options exist to maintain your competitive advantage? In this session, we'll explore potential solutions and help you keep the value of your secrets.
We’ll take a top-level look at the tools you can use to protect your confidential ideas and innovations.
Topics will include:
- Trademarks – What can (and can’t) you trademark?
- Copyright – A tool often overlooked in the agriculture industry
- Trade secrets – How can you retain value whilst balancing this with the risk of people leaving the business? If others are able to develop the same idea, does this leave you unprotected?
We’ll also take a look at the advantages and limitations of these tools compared against patents and other forms of protection.
By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer understanding of the alternatives to patent protection and what's the right option to secure your innovation.
