Digital Technologies in UK Agriculture and Food Industries - Challenges and Opportunities
The transformation is clearly underway. All sectors are being challenged by the new ways of working and new opportunities being presented by the digital world in which we find ourselves.
At the workshop we are going to be discussing the help and support for businesses in Agriculture and Horticulture to manage this challenging process. You will hear case studies where digital transformation is gaining traction and identifying some of the issues where the DIGIT programme can help.
About DIGIT-Lab Project:
Digital Innovation for Growth, Impact, and Transformation (DIGIT) is an innovative project, funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and others, and co-led by the University of East Anglia, is aiming to understand the challenges facing agri-businesses posed by digital transformation.
This workshop is aimed for farmers, growers, agri-businesses and perfect for you if:
- You're on a digital journey, whether it’s how you collect, manage and interrogate your data, to how to use data to deliver real change in your business.
- You are considering the challenges of cyber-security, or the impacts of digital adoption on your working environment and even the mental well-being of your team.
- You'd like to get access to teams with the academic expertise to help support your business through adoption, or insights into new funding opportunities.
With potential signposting to funding to support the digital transformation of the industry, the project is seeking to support businesses ready to embrace the new way of working and those willing to be open about their challenges.
