ECIF research visit to the Leaf Lab @ GrowUp Farms
The Leaf Lab is part of GrowUp Farms' centre dedicated to research and innovation for supporting its commercial vertical farm operation.
Growing leafy greens indoors and vertically brings its unique set of challenges, from sourcing renewable energy for lighting, to optimising growth conditions for plants. Scientists at the Leaf Lab are addressing the growing part as well as all aspects of the production process by investigating plant development, testing novel varieties and crop growth methods before they are applied at GrowUp Farms’ commercial operation.
