Exhibition opportunity for naturetech innovators!
As agriculture navigates a new landscape of environmental ambition, our next conference spotlights ‘NatureTech’ innovation for enabling the delivery, measurement, and monetisation of ecosystem services across UK farmland. We’re looking for innovators to exhibit their technology at the one-day event “The Productive Landscape: NatureTech for Profit and Planet” on 28th April 2026.

About

Lacuna Space is a UK-based technology company pioneering global Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity through its innovative satellite network. Headquartered at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire, Lacuna specialises in providing low-cost, reliable communication solutions for sensors and mobile equipment in remote and hard-to-reach areas .

By leveraging small, low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellites and the LoRaWAN® protocol, Lacuna enables direct-to-satellite communication for battery-powered IoT devices. This approach ensures seamless integration with existing terrestrial networks, offering ubiquitous coverage without the need for additional infrastructure .

Lacuna's technology is particularly beneficial for industries such as agriculture, environmental monitoring, logistics, and utilities, where consistent data transmission from remote locations is crucial. Their system allows for long battery life—up to five years—without recharging, making it ideal for deployments in areas lacking reliable power sources.

Deployed sensor systems include:

Soil moisture
Weather Stations
Tank Level
Under canopy temperature and Humidity
River pollution
...and many more.

Lacuna ensure that even the most isolated sensors can communicate effectively, thereby unlocking new possibilities for data-driven decision-making across agriculture and environmental monitoring.
