As agriculture navigates a new landscape of environmental ambition, our next conference spotlights ‘NatureTech’ innovation for enabling the delivery, measurement, and monetisation of ecosystem services across UK farmland. We’re looking for innovators to exhibit their technology at the one-day event “The Productive Landscape: NatureTech for Profit and Planet” on 28th April 2026.
The farm specialises in producing high end crops such as Peonies, Agapanthus and houseplants for UK Supermarkets, as well as growing strawberries and asparagus for local retailers. It employs cutting edge technology such as a coir sterilisation facility and custom built LEDs to enable it to be the only UK producer of AYR Oriental Lilies and benefits from synergies with other departments within EW Pepper.
Diversification and expansion are core objectives and Bury Lane is seeking to form relationships with other members through trialling crops and products, or investing in brilliant new ideas. EW Pepper has a long history of innovation in agriculture, having played a leading role in the introduction of landrace pigs and the development of UK ornamentals. Recently the Bury Lane team won a Gold Medal and Best House Plant Studio at the 2023 RHS Chelsea Flower Show through its' Geb&Green spin off. Managing Director, Will Clayton, has a passion for both education and technology, and views intra-sector collaboration as essential for the future of UK horticulture and agriculture.
