Delta-T Devices Ltd
About
Cambridge (UK) based Delta-T Devices is a leading manufacturer of Agritech measurement technology - offering a comprehensive range of research-grade sensors.
For over fifty years we have been renowned innovators in soil, plant, and solar science, and have co-developed instruments with many of the world’s leading academic institutes.
Our products have been trusted by leading agronomists and commercial growers for decades - and include the portable WET-2 Multi-Parameter Soil Sensor and PR2 Profile Probe (analog and SDI-12) which measures soil moisture profiles down to 1 meter.
Our GP2 Data Logger is the ideal partner to many of our instruments and features SDI-12 and GPRS communications along with access to our online www.deltalink-cloud.com platform.
DeltaLINK-Cloud is a powerful and secure online data viewing, management, and sharing platform. It was developed by our inhouse development team and offers many impressive features. It enables remote viewing of real-time data on smart phones (in customisable animated dashboard format), quick and easy sharing of data with other project stakeholders, and sophisticated graphing.
Delta-T’s plant science products include the SunScan system, which quantifies solar radiation penetration into low uniform canopies and displays Leaf Area Index – a measure of crop performance. Our AP4 Porometer measures the rate of water diffusion though leaf surfaces and displays stomatal conductance – an indicator of water stress.
The newest addition to our range is the WET150 Soil Sensor which represents the culmination of forty years research and development at Delta-T Devices. Through a number of key design innovations it delivers research-grade accuracy and build quality at a price point not previously thought possible. It is the ideal sensor for integration into SDI-12 based smart irrigation systems.
When buried in soil the WET150 Soil Sensor simultaneously measures three crucial variables that influence plant growth: moisture content, temperature, and electrical conductivity (EC). A key strength of the WET150 is its ability to reliably calculate pore water conductivity (ECp) - the ion content of the water available to the plant.
