As agriculture navigates a new landscape of environmental ambition, our next conference spotlights ‘NatureTech’ innovation for enabling the delivery, measurement, and monetisation of ecosystem services across UK farmland. We’re looking for innovators to exhibit their technology at the one-day event “The Productive Landscape: NatureTech for Profit and Planet” on 28th April 2026.
The Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA) has been representing the interests of British farm machinery and equipment manufacturers since its formation in 1875.
Throughout its history, the AEA has been at the forefront of the development of technical standards, regulation and political change. We ensure that the needs of the agri-tech engineering sector and its supply chain are fully represented particularly in respect of productivity, sustainability and environmental responsibilities. In offering a wide array of services through our network of Councils, Committees and Special Interest Groups, the AEA supports its members by providing comprehensive market information and guidance on standards and regulations and though training and skills development.
Representation to Government is a key element of the AEA’s role, as is the facilitation of access to export markets through its membership of European and global associations.
The AEA owns and administers The National Sprayer and Spreader Testing Scheme and is contracted to run the secretariat of the Milking Equipment Association (MEA). The AEA also organises Tillage-Live and the triennial ScotGrass event.
