About Agri-TechE Week
Agri-TechE Week (ATW) is an annual partnership initiative coordinated by Agri-TechE , to showcase excellence in agri-tech in the UK, broker new collaborations, and provide an opportunity to attract new audiences, customers, and partners to the UK agri-tech ecosystem.
Agri-TechE Week takes place every autumn and creates a unique opportunity to meet the people behind the latest science and innovations and to visit those on-farm that are adopting cutting-edge technology. It aims to showcase exciting developments in agri-tech through a dynamic mix of events, workshops, farm visits and lab tours.
Participating in the Agri-TechE Week presents a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the vibrancy and diversity of the program. These events can significantly impact your business by providing access to new audiences, clients, and potential collaborators. Our fringe events foster meaningful relationships and generate new business opportunities through shared interests.
As an ATW event host, you can design a unique activity that stands out and showcase the latest thinking in agriculture-related research, tech development, and farming practice. Additionally, you can collaborate with other Agri-TechE members to enhance knowledge and expertise.
Things to note
Organise an event that shows innovation, leadership, knowledge exchange
We are inviting Expressions of Interest from Agri-TechE members to take part in Agri-TechE Week 2025. Designed to showcase some of the latest thinking in agriculture-related research, tech development, and farming practice, Agri-TechE Week is an opportunity to gain new knowledge, strengthen networks and gather fresh insights.
Size and type of event
We’d like Agri-TechE Week to feature a portfolio of events, some hands-on and interactive, some showcasing excellence, and some exchanging knowledge and information. We are keen to avoid blatant “sales” pitches or lengthy technical presentations and instead focus on providing opportunities around innovation, thought leadership, learning and knowledge exchange for agriculture and horticulture.
Agri-TechE ’s REAP conference will be on Tuesday 4th November; this is our major flagship event of the year, so we hope you’ll understand that we would like to avoid any other day-long conferences under the auspices of Agri-TechE Week that would compete with REAP. We hope to arrange events to target different audiences and, where possible, geographies, so we don’t cannibalise each other’s events and compete for delegates. We discourage day-long events as we want to pack in as many events across the Week as we can, so a few hours or a half day is ideal.
We are hoping to build a portfolio of varied and exciting events throughout the Week – this might take some time, so we hope after expressing your interest you can retain some flexibility about the final date and format as we develop the overall plan for the Week.
Resources and event logistics
Agri-TechE Week (ATW) partners are expected to allocate resources for their ATW activities as they are responsible for organising their own event. While Agri-TechE will provide assistance by suggesting ideas, applying for BASIS points to gain CPD accreditation for your event and promoting your activities, we are unable to provide organisational resources. Some of the things you will need to consider:
-
- Event programme, registration process and controlling visitor numbers
-
- Pre- and post- communication with attendees
-
- For in-person events: directions to the venue and parking, water coolers and refreshments, toilets, alternative plan for wet weather (if it’s a field tour), IT set up etc.
-
- For online events: platform and IT set up
-
- Event promotion: event flyer, posts on social media.
We want all events to be safe. The essential requirements are to:
- Inform your insurance company that you are hosting an Agri-TechE Week event and have a public liability insurance cover.
- Ensure health and safety arrangements are in place and adhered to by everyone. Complete a health and safety risk assessment.
