About the Job
Through the Agronomy Research Circle we have been very successful over the past year with proposals and projects for the new Defra ADOPT programme, supporting farmers in testing ideas, products, practices or technologies. We now have over 20 projects with a 100% success rate, and have a long and growing pipeline of ideas for future projects.
We are looking to build a network of facilitators, researchers, agronomists, consultants and knowledge exchange professionals who can help deliver these projects.
About You
Independent, self-employed, or semi-retired individuals who are looking to work on a flexible basis, either as feepaid employees or by sub-contract.
We are looking for a range of skill-sets, not necessarily all needed in the same person: bid writing, project management, facilitation, protocol writing, on-farm trial design & measurements, data collation & analysis, interpretation, reporting, knowledge exchange, communications.
Familiarity with Innovate UK processes would be useful, though not essential.
About Us
The Agronomy Research Circle is an independent initiative set up by Daniel Kindred in 2025. It connects researchers, advisors and farmers to undertake on-farm research to find what works on-farm, through explanations, evidence, experiments and exchange. See www.thearc.farm.
ARC Agronomic Sciences Ltd is the consultancy business that supports the ARC, and what is contracted in Innovate UK and commercial projects. We are looking at alternative vehicles for ARC to exist as its own entity.
