A spinout created by Durham University has developed a thermal battery climate control system for precise temperature and humidity regulation in CEA. The technology reduces energy costs by over 50%, enhances CO₂ retention, integrates low-temperature heat sources and minimises disease risks through stable growing conditions and the sanitising effect of its working fluid. The Team is currently seeking partners for early-stage trial testing
