About the Job

The successful applicant will work closely with the Director of Business Development to help generate, develop and close sales opportunities with new and existing clients. This role is primarily office-based, but with frequent national and some international travel required to visit prospective clients, network events and conferences.

You will be creating, generating, developing and closing sales opportunities, liaising with the Business Development & Marketing team to target prospective clients and attending networking events and exhibitions to drive sales.

About You

We are looking for a confident and presentable person who strives to bring in new business. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and aptitudes:

  • Considerable experience working within sales – generating leads and closing sales.
  • Experience in eg technology-specific industry sectors i.e. MedTech, Lab/BioTech, VetCare, CleanTech, AgriTech, Consumer or Food & Drink.
  • Confidence in presenting to and engaging with potential clients.
  • Developing and managing client accounts.
  • Writing technical proposals.
  • Managing opportunities and accounts through a CRM; HubSpot or similar.
  • Engineering background or transferable skills in any of the eg disciplines
