Online Agri-Tech Express: “Agri-Tech for Fresh Produce – Meet Horticulture Nova Scotia”

Thursday 21st April @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Calling in the robots, the sensors, the predictive yield models and the production management systems!
Join a group of progressive fruit and vegetable growers who are all members of Horticulture Nova Scotia who are looking across the world for innovative new solutions to integrate into the industry.

This is a chance to hear about:

– horticultural production under what can be challenging environmental conditions,

– the drivers and opportunities and,

– where there are technology opportunities waiting to be filled.

Horticulture Nova Scotia Members are actively seeking new technologies to help increase the efficiency, productivity and sustainability of the industry.

We’ll also be hearing from four case studies from within the Agri-TechE network to help inspire the thinking about how technologies can make a difference – from imaging and yield forecasting, to enhancing pollinator activities, to automated robotic processing.

Horticulture Nova Scotia is a member-driven, non-profit agricultural commodity group representing the interests of Nova Scotia’s commercial vegetable, vegetable greenhouse, strawberry, highbush blueberry, and bramble producers, and of the nursery stock producers associated with those crops.
