Farm-PEP workshop: what has been the impact of Covid-19 on knowledge exchange in agriculture and how do we build on our experiences?

Registration is closed for this event

Webinars and other digital formats such as podcasts and videos have now become a mainstream offering of the knowledge exchange landscape in agriculture. Whether as a grower, researcher, innovator, technical specialist or adviser, all stakeholders in the ecosystem have had to adapt to these digital ways of communicating, exchanging and learning.

In this workshop, we will be looking back on how the pandemic has disrupted the way information has traditionally been accessed, shared and utilised in the agriculture and agri-tech ecosystem, and explore what risks and opportunities this change has presented. We will also be looking forwards and sharing some exciting plans on the digital future of knowledge exchange in agriculture.

By participating in this workshop, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Hear from researchers from the University of Gloucestershire’s Countryside & Community Research Institute and ADAS who will share their findings so far on the impact of Covid-19. (Complete the survey now to have your say.)
  • Feed in your experiences and hear from other stakeholders on what it’s been like to exchange knowledge and communicate online during the pandemic.
  • Explore how we can continue to benefit from digital ways of engaging in a post-Covid world
  • Find out more about how you can get involved in shaping the next knowledge exchange digital solution for agriculture.

Outputs from the workshop will be incorporated into a report on Covid-19 impacts, due to be published by early summer 2021, and feed into the development of new interactive digital solutions

About Farm-PEP

The project seeks to engage across the industry to assess the impact of Covid-19 on knowledge exchange in agriculture and co-design a new digital solution called Farm-PEP (Performance Enhancement Platform).
