Agri-TechE Missions – Automating Agriculture: Opportunity for UK Agri-Tech to help US Fruit & Vegetable Growers

For US fruit and vegetable growers a key priority is harvest automation, which is the basis of Agri-TechE’s partnership with Western Growers announced at the 2020 REAP conference.
We’re inviting technology businesses to get involved in this partnership via an exciting collaborative tech development programme, and to join us on Wednesday, 27th January.

- Jeff Morrison talks about Grimmway Farms’ carrot and mixed veg business, and Josh Ruiz from Church Brothers Farms describes their previous approaches to adopting new technology.
- Neil Callis covers Turlock Fruit Company’s challenges around melon and asparagus harvesting, and Luis de la Garza from Royal Berries highlights the impact of harvest costs on their strawberry production.
- Drew Ketelsen at HMC Farms explains the changes the business is making to future-proof its orchard production, and we also hear from Ines Hanrahan, Executive Director of the Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission.
