Light Science Technologies  (LST) has  been awarded £503,000, by Innovate UK funding to develop an intelligent LED grow-light cloche for use within polytunnels and glasshouses.

The grow-light cloche will extend the growing season, enabling farmers to grow a wider variety of produce all year round. It will incorporate LST nurturGROW sensor and its nurturGROW luminaire, a semi-automated system for soil-based growing within polytunnels and glasshouses.

Breedr are crowdfunding

Breedr announces new crowdfunding campaign

Breedr has announced that it will shortly be launching a crowdfunding campaign as part of its next round of investment.

Earlier this year Breedr announced a new risk-free way to buy and sell livestock, based on lifetime animal data and weights. The Breedr live trading platform means producers can buy and sell through the free app with certainty, with a price guarantee in case of any differential in the weight of weaned calves and stores between farms. Sellers are also ensured payment within 72 hours of collection.
