From Farmer to Pharma

Need a versatile, low input crop to replace oil seed rape in the rotation? What about industrial hemp? The global industry was valued at $4.71m in 2019 – and its uses include textiles, sustainable building materials, fibres and hemp seed oil. CBD extract, used as an ingredient in the expanding wellness market, is currently imported by UK based companies  – but could be produced locally.

This event, in partnership with Hanway Associates, explores the potential of medicinal cannabis and industrial hemp for UK producers and those wanting to invest in a carbon neutral technologies.

Someone dies every two weeks from an on-farm accident – innovative digital technologies to be discussed at this event are moving us on from recording incidents towards understanding the underlying causes, an essential step for creating a culture that minimises risk.

This event might save a life – with two new applications being launched that will revolutionise on farm safety.

Agri-Tech Express with Itaka International

Itaka International will be sharing how their natural products improve plant resistance in vegetable production. The aim is to reduce predisposition to common threats while also decreasing the dependence on agrochemicals.

Groundswell

Groundswell is going live and so are we

23rd – 24th June 2021 – in person!

Regenerative agriculture – including no-till, cover crops and livestock in an arable rotation – is increasingly being adopted and offers opportunities for improved methods for monitoring, sensing, measuring and decision making. We are planning to be at the showground on Lannock Manor Farm, Herts in person, and as always looking to the future!
