The Digital Vineyard is a technology business based at JoJo’s Vineyard, Henley-on-Thames Oxfordshire. Our aim is to test and develop practical manageable technologies to improve the performance of vineyards in the UK and beyond. We are currently testing AI products from Australia and from Harwell in Oxfordshire. Understanding vine growth in detail will help overall management of the vineyard. All data will be brought together in a single vineyard management platform allowing a better understanding of the vineyard.
We are working on data management projects in Europe (Atlas) and Australia (Collabriculture) to help ensure the ease of data exchange for digital platforms across the world to avoid potential falls. Open data standards are vital in helping establish a truly digital vineyard and we’re at the forefront of helping to establish those standards.
We work to an RTK level accuracy in surveying vineyards and machine operation and help growers understand the opportunities as well as the pitfalls of working with high level accuracy systems.
We’re looking to work with any technology providers who may have an interest in technology that is applicable to vines and production of quality grapes for the fast growing sector of UK agriculture.
