Phytoponics

Making fresh produce abundant and more sustainable

Phytoponics designs and manufactures Deep Water Culture (DWC) hydroponic growing systems for commercial produce growers.

Our mission is to realise and promote the sustainable benefits of hydroponic agriculture at scale through the global deployment of our substrate-less DWC growing solutions.

We have designed our DWC systems specifically for soilless, substrate-less growing of nutrient intensive vine crops, soft / exotic fruits and high value crops such as medical grade cannabis.

Phytoponics has taken an ancient hydroponic method and adapted and evolved it for use at scale by designing a patented range of DWC growing modules which contain circulating nutrient solutions that are kept oxygenated by built in aerators.

Our ability to control or influence nutrient and energy distribution throughout a plant enhances the yield and quality of the produce grown in our systems. Rootzone management is at the heart of every Phytoponics system and it’s where our core R&D activities are focused.

Supported by leading horticulturalist Victor Lambert and renowned agronomist Derek Hargreaves, Phytoponics serves commercial growers and new collaborative growing projects in the UK and overseas.
