Unlocking the benefits of agricultural technologies such as drones can result in benefits for farmers, government and society

The Government is supportive of the use of agricultural technologies to improve productivity, providing funding for a range of important projects through the Transforming Food Production Challenge. However, a number of barriers currently exist to farmers being able to fully realise the benefits of these technologies. Many of these are regulatory – an area where the UK has an opportunity to look again with its powers returned from Brussels.
