The East of England Agricultural Society is responsible for promoting agriculture and rural life in the East of England.
The Society is based at the East of England Showground in Peterborough and has a full programme of activities that cater to the areas urban and rural populations. Knowledge Exchange is an important part of what we do- sharing the story of how food is produced and its importance to daily life and the economy.
All the Societies objectives are delivered with the aid of a membership that covers a wide array of ages and interest groups. Membership groups span from young members to corporate, all of which come with a variation of benefits.
Peterborough Arena is the Society’s commercial arm, the Arena provides a venue for meetings, conferences, and events of all different sizes. The profits made by Peterborough Arena are all channelled back into the Society to support its charitable objectives.
The Society was set up in 1797 with the idea of promoting best practice within the industry, and the same concept still stands over 200 years later.
