Agri-Tech East's October Newsletter

The UK has published its first Agriculture Bill for 50 years and with it some clarity is starting to emerge around future priorities for the industry. Although there are many gaps still to be filled between now and 29th March 2019, we already know that encouraging farmer engagement in R&D is a core element and Elveden Farms (see below) is a good example of how this can work in practice.
Disruptive technology does not happen overnight and we discuss in this month’s blog how patience and 'ground truthing' is needed to ensure the impact of innovation is real and robust.
A new buzz word is the 'circular economy' - how one industry's waste is another's raw materials – Meredith Lloyd-Evans of BioBridge explains how farmers can exploit this growing revenue stream in this month's Professional Insights.
